J.R. Short has worked with Johnson Downs, based out of Kankakee, for over 20 years. My relationship started with Johnson Downs at the end of an expansion project late 2007. The construction of the buildings and support through the project were excellent. In 2010, we started another major expansion project. Being I was new to the area and company, we evaluated a number of contractors for this work. It was clear why we had used Johnson Downs in the past and awarded them with this project.

The communication is clear and feedback is received so there is a good understanding of the work to be done and the potential options. The work is of high quality with the use of well trained employees. Safety was a priority. The project (three buildings) was on schedule and under budget. The billings were highly detailed.
